Entry is open to all 2004 USATF members age 14 and over on
race day. Only US citizens are eligible for awards; foreign
athletes are welcome to compete but they must be a member of
their home federation, and are not eligible for championship
awards.
There is no online entry; the entry form must be printed and mailed. Click here to print an entry form. Complete the entry form and mail with entry fee to:

The first 75 entrants will receive a 15K Championship
commemorative item.
Numbers may be picked up on Race Day ONLY: Sunday morning
from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m.
Check-in will be located at the USATF Table. There is a
major road race at the same location on race morning; All
racewalk information is at the USATF Table only.
USATF Individual Championship medals to the top 3 in each
division. Additional awards will be presented.
Masters Men and Women 40 and over are scored individually in
five year age brackets. Awards for top three places in
each category.
Prize Money: Senior men and women: $150 / $100 / $50
Teams are scored based on the total times of their top 3 competitors. Teams must be declared prior to the race on a declaration form at the check-in area.
Team medals to the three scoring members of the top Junior, Senior, and masters teams (masters are scored in 10 year age groups - 40+, 50+, 60+).
Masters may only represent one age group team.
Lincoln RI is served by two airports: Boston's Logan International Airport (about 50 miles), and T.F.Green Airport in Providence (12 miles). Both are served by most major airlines.
Amtrak stops in nearby Providence RI. The park is minutes off of Interstates 95 and 295, just northwest of Providence along Rt. 146 (Lincoln Park / Twin River Rd Exit) in Lincoln RI. Detailed directions can be found at rhody5k.com.
There is no specific host hotel; there are a number of hotels/motels within a short drive. We recommend the Comfort Suites in Smithfield RI, about 5 miles away. The hotel is on Rt 7 in Smithfield, Exit 8B off of Rt 295. 401-231-6300.
Course | a 1250 meter relatively flat loop. The course will not be set up until race morning. |
20K Qualifier Option |
Athletes in quest of a qualifying time for 20K may
continue on to that distance only if they declare their
intention in advance of the race start. They will wear an
additional identification to wear. Time limit for 20K is
1:55:00. At that time, such athletes will be asked to
leave the course but they will be still retain their
finish placing in the 15 km Championship. Athletes who do not declare in advance may not continue beyond 15K. |
Post Event |
Refreshments follow immediately behind the track
clubhouse with the running race. Awards ceremony at the same location beginning at 12:30 p.m. There are no locker room facilities at the race site. |
Road Running Event | The USATF New England 5K road running championship runs at Lincoln Park with 2 races beginning at 9:30 a.m. (men then women). For run info - and detailed directions to Lincoln RI, see rhody5k.com. The USA Championship walk is held in conjunction with this running event. |
