2016 Massachusetts Middle School
8th Annual Cross Country Invitational
Saturday, November 5, 2016
Willard Field, Devens MA
Sponsored by the Boston Athletic Association
Information as of September 15, 2016
USA Track & Field - New England will host the eighth annual Massachusetts Middle School Cross Country Invitational on Saturday, November 5, 2016.
There is no other organization that deals with middle school athletics in Massachusetts.
This meet, presented by USA Track & Field - New England, provides a capstone to the middle school season.
The races will run on the cross country course at Willard Field in Devens MA. The course is the same as 2014 and 2015.
The location is easily accessible off of Rt 2 - Exit 37B.
DO NOT GO INTO RESTRICTED AREAS, AND FOLLOW PARKING DIRECTIONS AND REGULATIONS
This meet provides an opportunity for middle school runners in grades 5-8 to compete in a large championship style event.
It is open to all schools - public, parochial, private, and charter - and home schoolers in those grades may compete.
This is a school-based competition, and not club-based. Runners' affiliations will be listed as the school they attend.
The format provides multiple races - boys and girls races for these divisions: grades 5/6, grade 7, grade 8, and a team 'championship' race.
NEW FOR 2016 - 2 TEAM RACES. Meet growth has allowed us to contest 2 separate divisions of team 'championship' races.
These will be based on school size.
There will continue to be only one grade race per division each for both boys and girls. If needed, a second team race will evenly divide numbers.
The 2016 meet is sponsored by the Boston Athletic Association.
We appreciate your interest in and support of this continually-growing event.
