2011 Massachusetts Middle School
Cross Country Invitational
3rd Annual Races

Saturday, November 5, 2011
Tewksbury MA

Sponsored by Saucony
Information as of August 1

USA Track & Field - New England will host the third annual Massachusetts Middle School Cross Country Invitational on Saturday, November 5, 2011.

There is no organization that deals with middle school athletics in Massachusetts, so despite the existance of very active cross country programs in those grades, there is no capstone event to a season. This meet, through USA Track & Field - New England, fills that gap.

The meet returns to Tewksbury at the town's recreation fields for 2011, with support of town officials. The course is several miles off of Rt 93 (Dascomb Rd. exit).

This meet provides an opportunity for middle school runners in grades 5-8.
It is open to all schools - public, parochial, private, and charter - and home schoolers in those grades are welcome to compete as well. This is a school-based competition, not club-based; runners' affiliations will be listed as their schools.

The format will be the same as last year - boys and girls races for grades 5/6, grade 7, grade 8, and a team 'championship' race.
There will be only one team race each for both boys and girls.

We appreciate your interest in and support of this fast-growing event.

Entry, schedule, times, awards. The date of updates / changes also appears on this form.
